Roseberry View Lodges

Overview

I designed and developed the website for Roseberry View, a luxury lodge retreat located in North Yorkshire.

The business offers contemporary, family-friendly lodges set within landscaped grounds, featuring private hot tubs, lake views, and access to the surrounding countryside near Great Ayton and Roseberry Topping. The retreat is positioned as a high-end, experience-led stay, combining modern accommodation with scenic rural surroundings and local attractions.

Prior to the project, the business relied heavily on social media and manual booking processes, limiting scalability and increasing administrative overhead.

Challenge

The primary challenge was twofold:

• Transitioning the business from a manual, message-based booking process to a streamlined digital experience
• Integrating the website with Host & Stay while maintaining accurate, real-time availability

Because bookings were being handled across multiple platforms, there was a high risk of inconsistencies and double bookings. Ensuring data accuracy between systems without introducing delays or conflicts was critical.

Solution

I delivered a fully custom website designed to both showcase the lodges and support a more conversion-focused booking journey.

Key elements included:

• A redesigned user experience focused on showcasing accommodation, location, and amenities
• Integration with the booking management system to enable website-driven reservations
• Implementation of automated synchronisation, with 30-minute interval syncing between the website and booking platform

This approach ensured that availability remained consistent across all systems, while reducing reliance on manual updates.

Outcome

The new platform significantly improved both operational efficiency and customer experience:

• Reduced administrative workload by removing the need to manually manage bookings across systems
• Dramatically lowered the risk of double bookings through automated syncing
• Expanded the business’s reach beyond social media into a scalable, search-friendly platform
• Introduced a more professional and seamless booking journey for users
